Zenshu is an original Japanese anime television series directed by Mitsue Yamazaki and written by Kimiko Ueno, with Sumie Noro as assistant director and music composed by Yukari Hashimoto. The story follows Natsuko Hirose, a brilliant but struggling animator and director, who’s hit a creative block while working on the storyboard for her latest project.
Her life takes a surreal turn when she learns that the director of her favorite anime, A Tale of Perishing, has died of food poisoning—only to meet the same bizarre fate moments later. But death isn’t the end for Natsuko. She awakens inside the very world of A Tale of Perishing, the anime that first inspired her passion for storytelling.
In this strange and beautiful world, Natsuko discovers an incredible gift: the power to bring her own animations to life and reshape the story itself. Armed with her creativity and determination, she sets out on a mission to bring hope to a world teetering on the edge of despair, rewriting the tale that shaped her childhood—and perhaps saving it from its own tragic fate.
