From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman follows the journey of Beryl Gardinant, a self-proclaimed "humble old man" and a sword instructor in a quiet, rural village. Once aspiring for greatness as a swordsman in his youth, those dreams are now distant memories. But when a former star pupil delivers earth-shattering news—Beryl has been appointed as a special instructor for the prestigious knights of the Liberion Order—his quiet life is upended.
Beryl heads to the capital, where he reunites with former students who have now become elite knights, an ace wizard, and even a top-tier adventurer with the highest guild rank. To his surprise, they all seek his guidance. But why? After all, these accomplished individuals certainly don't need his teachings anymore. As Beryl faces the challenge of living up to his new role, he also contemplates whether he'll ever have a moment of peace, especially with his enthusiastic students always by his side.
